Beijing West Train Station

Beijing's west railway station is located in the west of Beijing. Opened in early 1996 after three hard years of work, it is the biggest railway station in Asia. It was expanded in 2000 and can now handle 300,000 passengers daily.

This is the only station that handles the maximum rail traffic so this is busiest station. Efforts are made to turn this into modern train station. Here all facilities are according to the growing needs of passengers.

Modern facilities of the station include rest rooms, tea and coffee stalls, book shops, small restaurant, bathroom, toilet and much more. Only from here any one can book tickets for any Beijing station in four days in advance.

Trains departing from Beijing West leave for destinations to the west and south, except for coastal destinations; these are served from here.

The well- known Jingjiu Railway, or Beijing- Kowloon Railway line, begins from this railway station.
