L.A. Gallery

L. A. Gallery was founded by its owner Lothar Albrecht from Frankfurt/Germany, Mr. Wei Wei from Beijing and Mr. Pan Xiulong from Beijing as a cultural joint venture merging different cultures.

Founded in 1990 as a showcase for international contemporary photography, they showed the work of many renowned artists like Tracey Moffatt, Ken Lum, Naoya Hatakeyama, Oliver Boberg and John Hilliard. Up to today, the gallery is constantly discovering new talents.

L.A. Gallery complements and enriches the active Beijing gallery and art scene, which is currently focused mainly on Chinese artists. The gallery has introduced new trends from the international art scene to the Beijing audience, and at the same time has put its efforts into forming a platform for Chinese young artists on their way to a broader, international art world.

The initial exhibition featured the works of German artists like Lukas Einsele, Susa Templin, Johnny Pack and Beijing artists Ren Xiaolin, Lu Hao and Shen Liang.

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10am- 6pm; Monday closed.
