Curio City

Curio City is a good place to start antiquing in Beijing. There are many furniture and smalls dealers here.

This is a rather touristy antique mall. There are several shops here selling a wide range of antiques. You will see a variety of furniture, carpets, porcelain and small curios. The antiques ranges are high This is a convenient place to stop if you are short on time and would like to see a good selection of antiques in one place.

It is the Asia's biggest curio arts and crafts trade center and is China's first curio market supervised by Beijing Cultural Relics Bureau to secure the good's genuineness.

Beijing Curio City is a four- story complex housing scores of kitsch and curio shops and a few furniture vendors. The market specializes in antique pottery, paintings from China and foreign countries, jadeware, bone carvings, antique furniture, antique carpets, antique timepieces, pearls and jade. Many of the dealers are themselves connoisseurs and curio collectors.
