Opened in 1998 by Celine Shen, Bleu Marine is a stylish French bistro located near Silk Alley.
Though it serves the French- style seafood, it is also famous for its Grilled beef tenderloin Steak with Three Pepper Sauce.
The menu varies according to the season and the wine list is admirable. In summer, sidewalk seating provides a truly Parisian feel.
When Bleu Marine was established, it was one of the few Western restaurants in Beijing, its opening become a big event among the foreign people living in Beijing.
The establishment's rustic look is completed with a blue marquee covering the patio area, which looks like a Mongolian yurt. The terrace is used year- round and in the winter stoves placed outside keep everyone cozy.
As its names the interior is painted blue. Comfortable canvas chairs and folded tables give a casual feel to it. You must book your table previously otherwise you have to sand in the long queues.
