Beijing Music Festival

Music refreshes your soul and mind. The Beijing Music Festival excites all music fans. The Beijing Music Festival (BMF) is held at various venues throughout the capital. It is authorized by the Ministry of Culture of China and the Beijing City Government and offers a variety of musical styles to suit all tastes and the audience can enjoy operas, symphonic and chamber music concerts, musicals and classical jazz performances.

The BMF is a non profit organization. Its aim is to promote the musical life in Beijing by organizing an annual event providing performances by artists of the highest caliber. It lasts about 30 days from October to November and presents about 30 performances. World renowned artists like Jose Carreras, Augustin Dumay, Valery Gergiev, Fou Tsrsquoong, Krizysztof Penderecki, Melvyn Tan, Mischa Maisky, Martha Argerich, Julian Lloyd Webber, Issac Stern, Jian Wang, Sarah Chang and Kathleen Battle have been invited to the festival in the last three years.
