Beijing Longqing Gorge Ice and Snow Festival is celebrated annually from January 15 to February 29 in Longqing Gorge in Yanqing County, Beijing.

On the festival exhibits of the ice lanterns, fireworks on ice, recreational performances, fishing and other ice sports are arranged. You can participate in the ice and snow revelry festival and visit the Great Wall at Badaling and the Kangxi grasslands.

A magical winter wonderland provides a fun day out for locals and tourists alike at the three day ice spectacle held annually in north of Beijing. You can enjoy the snow games. In evening you can enjoy the ice lanterns on display, while fireworks turn the icy gorge into a colorful light show.
Longqing Gorge is Mom Nature's version of abstract art. Fingers of mountains jab into the clouds making for an impossibly spectacular setting for this impossibly spectacular festival.

Located 80 kilometers to north of Beijing, it is best known for its outdoor gallery of ice sculptures carved into the forms of working lanterns. When illuminated at night they create one of those rare must- see- to- experience visuals. Fireworks, skiing, ice fishing and ice slides add to the festival's fun factor.
